At Michelle’s Haven every item is crafted with love and passion, making each piece a story of creativity. This is not my first shop, I had another that I closed prior to needing a back surgery to fuse my lower back. Now that it is healed I have decided to re-open and broaden my scope. This shop will not just be crocheted items as my other was. This one will be all kinds of crafts that I am interested in, from crochet to wire wrapped jewelry and even dream catchers. I am even hoping to offer pine cone decorations and more this Christmas.

Crocheting has long been my passion and will remain the basis for this shop. It is my “zen” as I like to say, lol! It calms me. I’ve been crocheting since the late 1970’s when I learned in junior high school home economics class. I broadened my knowledge when I was laid off my medical biller job of 9 years in 2011. I opened my first shop in 2016 after several friends and family requested pieces that I was making. It remained open until 2023 even through the COVID epidemic and a major move from Idaho to North Carolina.

So now I am starting over again. I have a new philosophy and a broader idea. I want to add more natural elements like seashells from a local beach to my jewelry and dream catchers and offer them to you here on Etsy. I also enjoy making little crocheted stuffed animals or Amigurumi. I’ve made a few Jellyfish, Duckies, Bunnies and even a Caticorn for my Granddaughters. I can’t wait to get started and offer my items to you all!
